What is it that makes us feel ‘stuck’ in grief? And how can we find a way forward?

When Grief Is Complicated brings together expert insight, practical tools and creative approaches to explore:

  • what happens in our brains and bodies when we grieve
  • the relationship between grief and trauma
  • creative and embodied approaches to grief
  • why some people experience more intense or persistent grief than others
  • how guilt, anger and unfinished business can shape our experience of loss
  • how we can care for ourselves when emotions feel overwhelming
  • ways to stay connected to people who have died while making space for new relationships and possibilities

Sessions feature leading grief experts Prof. Mary-Frances O’Connor, Julia Samuel MBE, Prof. Robert Neimeyer, Dr Carolyn Ng and Stephen Regel OBE, alongside poet Kat Lyons, animator Gary Andrews and yoga trainer Morven Hamilton – and now Dr Lucy Hone and Amber Jeffrey.

Whether you’re bereaved, supporting someone else or simply keen to understand more about this universal human experience, When Grief is Complicated offers space to learn and reflect on different ways of living with loss.
