Dr Joanna Nadin

Dr Joanna Nadin is a former broadcast journalist and special adviser to the Prime Minister. Since leaving politics, she’s written more than a hundred books for children and adults, many of which deal with private and collective grief. Her latest novel for children, When the World Ends, wrestles with the end of society in the wake of climate catastrophe and follows three children as they navigate their way to each other and towards hope. This book was fed by research undertaken for the University of Bristol research projects Storytelling and Climate Justice, and DIRT (in collaboration with the theatre company She Said Jump), which looked at ways to mitigate climate anxiety for young readers and audiences.
