Pillars 6 and 7 – Limits and Structure
About the event
This session is part of the Grief Academy course Julia Samuel’s Pillars of Strength.
When we are bereaved, we often have less bandwidth to cope with daily pressures and this might affect our ability to work and socialise. It’s important that we recognise our limits and learn how to set boundaries. But saying no is usually easier in theory than in practice. It can also help to have routines, which can provide some structure in our day-to-day lives and help contain the emotional turmoil.
In this session, Julia covers:
- Why do we need limits and boundaries when we’re grieving?
- What strategies can we use to work out what is best for us and say ‘no’ when we need to?
- How can a structure or routine help support us? What are the best ways to develop a plan for our days?
Julia Samuel’s Pillars of Strength offers immediate access to eight recorded webinars – and accompanying resources – on demand for six months.
