Ask David Kessler: Stories of Grief, Hope and Meaning
About the event
How can we find meaning after life’s most devastating experiences? Join us for this special opportunity to hear from David Kessler, one of the world’s leading voices on grief, who co‑authored On Grief and Grieving and wrote Finding Meaning: The Sixth Stage of Grief.
In conversation with Dr Lesel Dawson from the Bristol Centre for Grief Research and Engagement, David will reflect on what he has learnt from decades supporting bereaved people – and his own personal experiences of loss. Together, they will explore gentle, practical ways to navigate grief with compassion and hope.
The second half of the event will be devoted to audience questions, which can be submitted in advance or asked in person during the live session.
Whether you’re grieving yourself, supporting someone else, or simply interested in understanding grief more deeply, we’d love to have you with us.
This event is jointly organised by Good Grief Festival, the Bristol Centre for Grief Research and Engagement at the University of Bristol, and the Marie Curie Palliative Care Research Department at UCL.
This event will be held at UCL, Gower Street, London, WC1E 6BT. The room will be confirmed nearer the time.
