Join Dead Good Poetry founders and spoken word poets Amy Harris and Nathan Parker to explore grief and loss through poetry.

The evening unfolds in two halves. First, sit back and listen as Amy and Nathan share some of their work, exploring bereavement as well as the loss of relationships, places, and past versions of ourselves. Then, pick up a pen for a guided writing session, with no experience needed and no pressure to share. If you’d prefer to listen and not participate, that’s fine too. We’ll think about significant objects and mixed emotions – and also try some writing games.

About the artists: Dead Good Poetry is a North West community poetry project which creates warm, informal events that bring people together to explore grief and loss through listening to poetry and writing their own. Amy Harris is a Manchester-based poet, celebrant, and teacher, author of the collection Bedtime for Overthinkers. Nathan Parker is a full-time poet and workshop facilitator who recently took his one-man spoken word play to the Edinburgh Fringe, and wrote Tangerines, a poetry collection exploring grief. Together, they believe that grief deserves space to be shared.
