Fatima Khan-Shah

Fatima Khan-Shah is a public and patient engagement and involvement professional who specialises in health, social care and education. Fatima is also a Patient and Public Voice Partner with Health Education England and NHS England. Since March 2020, Fatima has experienced two bereavements, one of which was due to Covid-19.

Fatima is known regionally and nationally for actively championing patient involvement; the recognition of carer support and challenging inequalities in the health and care fields. These areas of focus are even more poignant to her personally due to her recent bereavements.

Fatima currently works as a system leader within the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership and leads the programme supporting Unpaid Carers and Personalised Care; which recently won a national award. Fatima is also a member of the NHS Assembly and Kingsfund General Council.
