About the event

Bootleg Social, 30 Topping St, Blackpool FY1 3AQ

Words for love, loss and everything in between.

Join writer and performer Nathan Parker for a relaxed and reflective spoken word workshop exploring how we can use words to make sense of love, loss, memory and the things we carry with us.

Nathan is the author of Tangerines, a moving collection exploring love and loss through poetry and spoken word. He is a brilliant, inclusive facilitator who creates welcoming spaces where you can explore your own words without any pressure to perform or share.

During the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to write, reflect and experiment with your own words. You might choose to read something you’ve written, ask Nathan to read it for you, or simply keep it to yourself. There is absolutely no expectation to share.

This is a space to listen, write, think and connect — at your own pace.

And don’t rush off afterwards! Nathan will be joining The Power of Creativity discussion panel for the next activity, continuing the conversation about creativity, expression and how the arts can help us explore experiences of love and loss.

Come for the workshop, stay for the conversation.

Access information: Bootleg Social is a basement venue accessed via stairs and is not wheelchair accessible. The venue can offer seating where available. Please contact us before booking if you have access requirements.
