Blackpool Grand Studio Theatre, 33 Church St, Blackpool FY1 1HT (Doors open 7pm)

When their son died unexpectedly, husband and wife team Stuart Wickes and Kirstie Pelling picked up guitars and began writing songs as a way to keep breathing and keep talking. The result is Broken Chords, a piece of gig theatre which blends music and storytelling to trace their long, strange road through grief with humour and hope.

Stuart and Kirstie look forward to making connections with people who are on a similar journey of discovery and reflection, while opening up stimulating, honest conversations about grief.

About the artists: Stuart Wickes and Kirstie Pelling are a husband-and-wife writing team from Cumbria. Their previous creative projects include The Family Adventure Project, a website about family adventure which involved them cycling across more than twenty countries with their children. Kirstie is a published novelist and Stuart co-directs two choirs.
