Anna May
Anna May is founder of The Student Grief Network and Executive Head of Kaplan International Grief Programmes. She lost her brother as a child and her dad as a young adult, and is passionate about improving the support that people get following a bereavement, especially within Higher Education where she noticed a real gap. She runs workshops and training in universities across the country, sharing her own story, as well as learnings from years of research and hundreds of conversations with other grievers.
Anna is also a writer and artist, interested in how creativity can help untangle trauma and build more connected ways of living. You can read more about her creative practice here.
Anna’s work has been featured by the BBC and Financial Times, and she has been nominated for multiple awards including Future Human Leader of the Year with TLC Lions, the Storyteller Award with This Can Happen, and the Student Support Award with The PIE.
