Young Emerging Leaders Collective

Date: Fri 29th Oct 2021

Time: 14:30 pm UK time

Duration: 30 mins

About the event

Good Grief Festival is partnering with The Ubele Initiative’s Young Emerging Leaders (YEL) for a curated conversation sharing their experiences on grief and loss, what helped them and the things that they did to find joy.

Join us and for an ever-important live, interactive conversation exploring the process of grief in different cultures. We will be centering our conversation on the different cultural practices of processing grief and commemorating life. We will also be exploring the connection between food and grief in different cultures. We invite you to be a part of this poignant intercultural exchange. In particular, we are looking to hear from Black and Minoritised young people and their experiences.

The Ubele Initiative is an African diaspora led intergenerational social enterprise with the purpose of helping to build more sustainable communities across the UK. The Young Emerging Leaders are a collective group of young leaders exploring their role in society as changemakers and how they can make a deep and lasting impact in their communities. The one thing that binds them is the desire to better their communities.

This session will be held as a private Zoom meeting facilitated by The Ubele Initiative.
