Dr Catriona R. Mayland

Catriona is a Senior Clinical Lecturer and an Honorary Consultant in Palliative Medicine at the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. She is Co-lead for one of the University of Sheffield cancer strategy’s key themes, ‘Enhancing patient experience and voice.’ Additionally, she leads the Project Group relating to quality of care for dying people and bereavement support within the ‘International Collaboration for Best Care of the Dying’. She has recently been awarded a NIHR Advanced Fellowship which will focus on improving the evidence-base for care in the last days of life and the methodology to enable more inclusivity.
