A Spotlight On: Getting involved with palliative care research (workshop for practitioners)

Date: Wed 8th Feb 2023

Time: 13:30 pm

Duration: 60 mins

About the event

Have you ever wondered if there was a better way of doing something? Have you ever felt you didn’t have the right information to inform your practice?

This workshop is chaired by Dr Emma Carduff (Marie Curie) and will be led by Research Nurses at Marie Curie who will focus on how to use research to address these questions.

Practitioners will consider how to develop a research question, build a research team, identify opportunities for research funding and access research training. The workshop will also look at the experiences of service users participating in research projects.

This session will include the following presentation(s):

  • Into the Unknown – a workshop for practitioners interested in getting involved in palliative and end of life care research with Kasia Patynowska, Sarah Stanley, and Rachel Perry (Marie Curie)
